Behind the Brand
HexNex Jewellery began when I gave my young son one of my favourite bangles whilst sitting in a highchair in a pub, thinking it was indestructible and safe for him to play with. Less than 2 minutes later, he had managed to smash it into two pieces by dropping it on the floor, prompting me to begin a search for baby proof jewellery. Everything I came across was too babyish in its design - it looked like I was simply wearing a baby toy! Jewellery has always been a way in which I define myself, and the designs I found were just not something I wanted to wear. And so as a result, HexNex Jewellery was born!
The ethos behind our brand is to create safe and stylish jewellery that Mums want to wear everyday of the week. Our contemporary designs range from subtle and laid back to larger, more statement pieces, and are inspired by nature, the seasons and all the current trends, so Mums can maintain their own sense of self and individuality. Popping on a HexNex necklace adds a little bit of jazz and excitement to your everyday wardrobe, with the added bonus that all our jewellery is safe for little ones to play and interact with, and of course, chomp on when pesky toothy pegs appear.
HexNex consists of just me, working from my desk at home, always with my two little monsters somewhere nearby and normally causing trouble! After being made redundant from my role as Visual Merchandising Manager during the infamous collapse of BHS, I went full time into my small business and I have never looked back since!
